I’m currently on a study visa and will finish my master’s this month in British Columbia. I’m planning to apply for my PGWP before November 1st under the old rules. My spouse has an open work permit that’s valid until April 30, 2025, and my son has a study permit. I’m working part-time (20 hours) in a Tier 4 customer service job, and my contract ends when my study permit expires. However, my job will be extended once I get my PGWP.
I’m considering applying for my PGWP along with my spouse's open work permit extension and my son’s study visa extension this month. But I’m unsure if I can apply for my spouse's work permit at the same time since I’m currently working part-time in a Tier 4 job. Has anyone been in a similar situation and had success with their application? If so, could you please share your experience? I’d also appreciate advice on what my employer letter should include for the application. Thanks in advance!
