I am planning to sponsor my in-laws for the upcoming 2017 quota; everything meets the criteria except my father in-law recently reminded me about his heart condition. He's been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation about 10 years ago(he's in his mid 60s now). He's never been ill due to this and is currently taking medication in his country for the condition. I've just done some research about the illness; it seems this may hinder the application when the time comes for the medical. I would like to know if I should continue with the application and if anybody here know or experienced admission as PR with this condition? Thanks

It is possible that your father-in-law's condition may result in him being medically inadmissible. No one on this forum can say for sure either way. You need to research how much his condition would cost to treat in Canada. If the treatment will exceed the Excessive Demand Threshold, he will be inadmissible.

Also note that even if your mom in law is healthy and your father in law is inadmissible, both parents will be inadmissible if one or the other fails the medical.
@certus881 : What was your outcome with heart condition of your in laws? Did you get the medical cleared?
