PF amount as Proof of Fund ?

Guys,

Can we show our PF account balance as proof of account ?? Once we leave the current employer we can close the account right.. so we will have the liquid cash.. we advise...

Once you leave your current employer, it will take more than two months to file the application of PF withdrawal (two months official+ around two weeks to get it processed and reflect in your account through ECS)..So employee PF can't be valid, because at the time of your PR filing you are MOSTLY employed with your employer.

But FD also works this way na.. We need to close the FD if we hav to transfer it to some other account.. Will they not treat PF that way..

AFAIK, PF can be used as POF.. That is a available fund, and after getting PR, you will have enough time to resign, get your PF amount and then Fly to Canada with that fund..

Public provident fund (PPF) can be used as proof of fund, because it is highly liquid and not employee provident fund (EPF)

FD can be broken by paying a small penalty and the money gets credited to your account instantly.
