Hi Everyone,

While filling up the Personal History in EE post ITA, should I split my course into two?
My course started from Jan 2021 till April 2022 (Master's) out of which I have done 4 months of remote learning from India due to COVID scenario and remaining portion I was in Canada. So do I have to account for that in my personal history? Or just add it as one single period?

I applied for my study permit on Nov 2020 and due to COVID , there was exemption that student can complete studies once he applies for study permit till it approved. My study permit approval came in March 2021 and then I travelled in April 2021. I was unemployed during that period and was able to find part time job by June 2021. From Oct 2020, I was unemployed and waiting for the visa process and by Jan 2021 started with studies remotely

So basically how do I tabulate these under personal and travel history?

Plzz it's urgent

Hi,

I would recommend that you show different countries for study in the personal history. It will also be in sync with your address history and travel history.

So, based on the information you mentioned, your personal history records may look like this:
.
.
Unemployed - Oct 2020 - Dec 2020 India
Education - Jan 2021 - Apr 2021 India
Education - Apr 2021 - Apr 2022 Canada
Work (Part-time) - Jun 2021 - ??? Canada
.
.

You can also attach a letter of explanation where you can mention that your Canadian course was from Jan 2021 - Apr 2022 but you did the initial months online from India and the remaining months in Canada, and that is why you are showing an education split between India and Canada for Canadian Degree Course.

Please note that these responses are based on my understanding and information from various forums and posts.

For any doubts or specific advice, it's always a good idea to consult with an immigration lawyer recommended by IRCC.

Thank you, @canadasj. Are you in a similar situation or know someone who is in the same state?

No, I don't have a similar situation. I worked for the same employer in my home country and overseas, so I had shown them as separate entries for each country.

Moreover, you should provide the most accurate information in your application, and can always include a letter of explanation to explain why you have provided the information in a certain way.
