I will advise you to do whatever you need to do on time and not to wait because of Citizenship. You will surely fall under the new 4/6 rule so don bother waiting that long if you don't have to. You can leave for Vacation and even get married anytime from now since you already have you PR status.

All the BEST.

Get PR card. You need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to keep your PR status.

You can go for vacation any time. It will not affect your PR status. For vacation, you need to check with your employer?

Once you arrive in Canada; your immigrant visa is cancelled. Its a one time entry visa. You will be asked a Canadian address and you need to provide a Canadian address for which your PR card will be mailed. Once you have a PR card you can travel in and out of Canada even in less than 2 years.

To maintain your PR status you are suppose to be in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years. In other words you must have been physically present in Canada for 730 days in a 5 year period. Those 730 days does not need to be continuous. You can go for vacation, marry, visit family, visit friends, attend conference as long as you spend 730 days you can renew

You can go for vacation and get married even next week after landing.
Canada is a free country, not a prison.

First of all congratuations for receieving your immigration visa. Pleased be advised that you have to make your landing before the expiry date of the visa. More over you have to know that this visa is just to allow you to enter Canada and become a PR BUT you must have the PR card which will be sent to the canadian address (address of your relatives or fraiends in canada where you will stay for the first days) which you must give to the immigration officer during the processing of your entry at the point of entry (airport for example). One important thing you have to remember is that you have to keep the proof of landing paper which you will receiev after finishing the landing procedure (usually the officer will staple it to your passport), this is an important document whih you have to keep it in good form (and the PR card as well) untill the citizenship final stage.

Have a good future in Canada !!

Good explanation.

One more thing to add is that the landing paper needs to be kept safely forever because it would be required for old age pension.
