I am a PR, landed in January, 2008.
As one can guess, like many newly landed immigrants I am looking for a job related to my professional profile. In particular, there are many international jobs there in a number of international organizations.
My question is:
If I get a position with an international organization (either an international humanitarian NGO such as Save the Children,CARE,World Vision International, MSF, ICRC or an international agency like UN, UNDP, UNICEF, WHO, Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, USAID, CDC etc.) will it negatively affect my PR status?
In other words, will that time spent on job with an international organization outside Canada be counted for required for PR status maintenance 730 compulsory days of presence in Canada? Or, these days spent out of Canada with an International NGO will not be added to 730 days requirement?
I'll greatly appreciate any one can share his/her experience or answer my question.
Thanks.
