Hi,

I have been in Canada with a Study Permit and student visa for about TWO years (June 2012-Aug 2013 | Oct 2013-Aug 2014) and then left Canada in the August of 2014. The course was a CPL and Instructor Rating that were completed at institutions that were at the time not on the participating institutions recognized by CIC. Also note this was not a degree/full time course. It was a part time course at a private institution.

I received a PGWP at the end of 2014 valid until June of 2017 and have arrived here in July of this year on a Visitor Visa. The Validity is till the expiry date of the passport which, I have just applied for renewal.

What would I have to do further that will make me eligible to obtain a Permanent Resident Status/Card?

Through what category would I have to apply?

Do I have to work at any position in the aviation industry (ground/aircraft) to qualify under the CEC?

Looking for sincere advice from those grounded in knowledge regarding immigration law.

Regards

You need at least one year of full time and paid work experience in Canada in a NOC A, B or 0 occupation to qualify to apply under CEC. It can be any occupation and doesn't have to be related to your studies. Any work complete during your studies cannot be counted towards this total.

Your questions are pretty basic and I would recommend you dedicate time to reading through Canada's immigration programs on the CIC web site.
