Given that you all seem to have all stayed in your home country for predictable reasons like education and employment I am puzzled why you applied in the first place and didn't wait. They will have to apologize and explain why they didn't meet their RO but it is up to the CBSA whether they report you. If they are reported they will also look into your file unfortunately.

Hi everyone.. me and my family landed in august 2013 and stayed for two months till we got our PR cards.. then went back home.. I came back to canada 8 months ago after spending 3 years and 5 months .. while my family stayed and they will come next month .. the problem is our PR cards will expire in october this year and we fail to meet the two years requirements for renewal .. for me I entered Canada without any problems.. I passed normally and I m planning not to renew my PR card after it is expired till I finish the 730 days period but my family when they come I m so worried they might face a problem if they were selected for random check.. My brother stayed back home to finish his college and he is coming after he finished immediatly while my mother just got retired this year and sold the house back home and is coming to canada after finalizing everything back home.. what should they do when they arrive at the airport? if they were selected for random check.. and what should they say?
They should tell the truth to any question asked, including how long they were outside Canada and the reasons for not meeting the residency obligation.

If they are selected for any secondary inspection and CBSA discovers they don't meet the RO, in the absence of H&C reasons (nothing in your story sounds like H&C), they would probably get reported and process started to revoke PR status. They could still enter Canada, but would need to file an appeal to attempt to keep their PR status (which again would have high chance of refusal due to no real H&C reasons).

If they get in without being reported, they'll need to stay inside Canada 2 straight years before applying for PR card renewal, which you already seem to be aware of.

they will tell the truth and give these reasons.. Completing college and selling everything we had in addition to my mother's retirement.. I m so worried right now that the PR status might get revoked ..
If you didn't want to be worried about this, then you all should have complied with the rules of being a PR and moved back to Canada sooner. Really there is nobody to blame here but yourself.

the processing for our application took 6 years ..we were still in high school when we applied .. my brother was in his 2nd year of dentistry when we got accepted.. and my mother needed to sell everything we have back home and got retired while keeping company to my brother.. I m so worried about that>> could that qualify as H/C?
That is not even remotely close to H&C.
