permanent residency application after quitting job

Hi I quit my job because my employer was very abusive. i managed to finish 2 years but in those 24 months of work there were a 2-week period that I did not work because I had some problems renewing my work permit. Do you think I can apply for my open work permit and permanent residency? i cannot apply using the option 2 because we did not have a timesheet and my ex employer would not sign anything. I am applying for anew work permit. i submitted the application online, do u have any idea why it was forwarded to a visa office and converted the online application to a paper application making the processing time longer? I don't have any clue why that happened, can someone explain it to me please. Did anybody have the same case before? Do you think I have a chance to get another work permit with a different employer. If you are under live-in caregiver u have to start counting 24 months in the first day of your work permit. If you think your lacking two weeks then you can't apply for your PR. If your old work permit date is not expired you are still allow to look for a new employer and grant u a neq work permit with new employer's name
