Hello All!
I'm a Dual US/Canadian Citizen living in the US. My Spouse of 10 years is an American Citizen and works in Healthcare.
We are considering moving to Ontario. Can anyone suggest the best route to take in regard to applications, Visas etc. I want to make sure that my Spouse will have permanent residency and be able to work.
Thanks you!

The short answer is that you will have to sponsor your spouse for permanent residency. The choice you face is whether to do this inland or outland.

Given that they are already in a stable environment, living and working in the USA, it would probably be easier to go "Outland", on the basis that it doesn't really matter how long it takes to get PR approved.

Well he has to go to Canada anyway if he wants to sponsor his spouse.

This rule only applies to permanent residents. OP is a citizen and can sponsor a spouse while living outside of Canada. However he will need to include proof in the application that he has plans to relocate to Canada once the visa is approved.
