Why could you not finish your 2 year contract? Did I say that you can't?
The rules for low skilled workers is that you can get a maximum 2 year work permit and you can not renew it. After it expires, you have to go home again for 4 months before you can apply for a new one. You never get the right to apply for PR but you can work for 2 years and go home for 4 months for as long as you keep on getting a new 2 year permit.
In Alberta, the PNP allows some low skilled people to apply for PR if their employer sponsors them. These are professions considered needed in Alberta. You can see which ones here: http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/semiskilledworkers.html Security guard is not one of them.
If you want to get PR, you have the following options:
1. Try to get upgraded to a security guard supervisor which is a skilled job and would allow your employer to sponsor you for PR or you to apply on your own.
2. Try to get another job which is considered skilled.
3. Try to get a low skilled job which is listed under the AINP semi-skilled program and would allow an employer to sponsor you.
