Hi,
I have 2 queries:
1- I have sent my application to CIO in 1st week of April and after reading many posts that FBI takes lot of time, I sent my fingerprints to FBI as well recently.
My passport was made in India only.Request you to please clarify - if anyone has applied/received PCC from Indian consulate in last 2-3 months, then how much time they are taking on an average...?
From this forum, it seems CIO takes 2-3 months of processing...On the Indian embassy site, it says 30 days so considering this I am planning to apply in May end or June to Indian consulate
If anyone has difference experience and took lot of time, please share so that I can apply asap....so that I won't face any issue of delay if I need to send documents to local visa office later....
2- On the site on Indian Consulate SFO, under supporting documents, it is written that for "Proof of Residence: Driving license, or PG&E, Water or landline telephone bill displaying applicant’s address, House Lease Agreemen, Bank/credit card/mobile phone statements are not accepted as residence proof. "
- PG&E is mentioned as one e.g. which is in US.......so we need to take US address or Indian address proof ?
- We need to take only one proof out of the ones mentioned above ?
- I came to US after few days of marriage only from India so I don't have any proof in my name of my husband's permanent address in India ? Can I take marriage certificate which shows Indian address. Please suggest ?
Thanks,
