People residing in US who got PPR can send passport by mail to canada?

I am currently residing in USA on working visa. I got my PPR email today. However I have heard we cannot send passport across international border or outside the country.

do i have to request a local visa office?

can anyone know this situation or been through this issue?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you fom India? , if so you will face legal issues if you sent passport across border.

Ask them to change the Passport stamping to Newyork , sent email and CSE to both ottawa and Newyork. Many applicants successfully done this.
 
yes i am from India. i am on working visa in US. when you say to change the request for local visa office, i have to do through CSE?

My friend has done this , he sent a mail to both visa office explaining the issues of sending passport to ottawa. he got the revert in 11 days and new PPR came after 12th day .

He also used the CSE to of both visa ofice .

all other timelines i didnt tracked. 10 days was medical after AOR then i am not sure buddy..
