I am a U.S. Board Certified Pediatrician of 26 years--according to the "test " I have 71 points--but I'm not sure if I can qualify for residency as the professional workers list states [ Physicians-General Practioners,Family Practioners ].Does that imply that Canada only wants G.P.'s and/or F.P.'s ??? Does anyone nkow if I would still qualify as a desired skilled worker as a Pediatrician??

According to the list of most wanted at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list they want:

3111: Specialist Physicians
3112: General Practitioners and Family Physicians

You would be considered a 3111 specialist physician according to http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC-CNP/app/quicksearch.aspx?lc=e&searchkey=3111 so you may apply.

However, you would have to figure out if you would be licensed to work in Canada or what you have to do to get licensed. Maybe since you are from the US, it's not a big deal. You will find licensing and board info for physicians in Canada at http://www.workdestinations.org/view_occupation.jsp?occupationUserDatumId=4950&lang=en
