PCC validity

Hi.

I am resident of Gurgaon, India and got my PCC done in September. My application was submitted on 9th October.

2 questions
A. Is the PCC valid? I read somewhere PCC is valid for 6 months.
B. I have recently shifted to my own home (within Gurgaon). The earlier residence on which PCC was done was rented accommodation. Do I need to get PCC done again?

a. valid for 12 months, but when you apply, it should have at least 6months on it.....note that your pcc & medical dates determine your first entry

Partly correct.

PCC has no relevance to your 'first' entry into Canada. COPR expiry date is typically 1 year from Medicals or when your passport expires, whichever is earlier.
