This. To add a bit more, PCC's for countries you no longer reside in (interpreted as places where you've lived 6+ months in a row] can be dated well before your ITA date (caveat: but they must be issued after the last time you lived in that country). In fact, you can even get a PCC from your current country of residence before you get ITA, with the catch that it must not be more than 6 months old by the time you submit your eAPR.sushsmart15 said:For countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since the age of 18 - you can obtain the PCC from them now without waiting for ITA.
Only for your current country of residence, it is recommended to obtain the PCC after receiving ITA.
Why do you think CIC gives 60 days to submit PR application?MooseNBooze said:This. you can apply for PCC anytime, all it matters is that it should be valid when you will send your documents to CIC after you get ITA...for example US PCC is valid for an year, I got mine in June and sent yesterday. It is advisable to get it ahead of time because PCC takes time.satya10 said:Dear Boarders,
Do we have to apply for PCC after we receive ITA, some group was saying it needs to be post ITA date?or can we apply in advance itself.
Please clarify.
Thanks

Go to PSK in Bangalore and they will issue PCC for you. As your current address is not same as passport address (I assume the address is a Gulbarga one), PSK will do Police Verification but in the end they will issue a PCC.vab_o1984 said:I have one question. I have recently moved to Bangalore(3 days back) and I received ITA from CIC. I dont have any rental agreement as Im staying with my friend.
Im from Gulbarga(now it is known as Kalaburgi city) and we dont have PSK office.
I need the PCC for processing the ITA further. I have Aadhar card, voters id,driving licence all of them issued in Gulbarga. I can get the current address on my Company's letter head(IBM).
Will that be accepted? How to proceed?. Pls help
Thanks,
Vijay
My first passport had the Gulbarga address. However, when i was in Canada back in 2013, I lost my passport. I then applied for a new one from Indian COnsulate from Toronto. They issued me a new passport. This new passport has the old passport number as reference, but address is of Toronto(Place of issue). Will that be a problem?vab_o1984 said:Thank you for the response. I have scheduled an appointment with Blore PSK. Fingers crossed
Place of issue is not a problem. But what is the permanent address? Indian address?vab_o1984 said:My first passport had the Gulbarga address. This is a tricky situation. I have personally not experienced this myself. Approach PSK in Bengaluru and they will sort this out for you. Maybe you will need to change the address in passport to Indian one again.vab_o1984 said:Hi,
The address that is printed on passport is of Toronto. The Indian Consulate said that they need present address and I gave my Rental receipt of my service apartment in Toronto. But the permanent address on old passport was of my Gulbarga city. Also the new passport has the old passport number in file number field and it says "old passport reported lost"
Thanks
