My DOB is 26-10-1982, so technically I turned 18 on 26-10-2000. While submitting my EE, I provided PCC starting from January 2001 - till date. Am I ok here?

I checked the cic website and it only says that you need a police certificate for each country you lived in for more than 6 months after you turned 18.

I didnt see anything about the time period on the police certificate. As long as it is valid and was issued recently, those are thonly requirents i found.

You can have a look yourself here:

PCC normally does not contains date ...so wherever (country) you stayed more than 6 months you need pcc from that country ...its simple do not go in complexity .....

If your PCC contains date, I think you may face issues.
As mentioned in another thread posted by a member states that his application was rejected coz he didn't provide PCC for complete 10 years or starting from 18 years.

This is the credited response. Other forums have members claiming rejection based on this issue. Best to get a PCC that does not specify any "TO" or "FROM" dates. But different countries, different practices. My country's PCC thankfully does not mention dates so can't comment on countries that by law might need to.

If you can get a PCC without the dates, I strongly suggest you get one. Best wishes.

Hay guys thanks for replaying:

Lemme explain my question: CIC website says that they need PCC since the age of 18 years. I was born on 26 October, 1982, that also mean I turned 18 on 26 October 2000 (just added 18 years to my DOB here). Now, Pakistani PCC does contain the addresses with dates (TO and From). My PCC starts from 2001 - till date, is that OK.

It is something like this:

Address 1 2001 - 2007
Address 2 2007 - 2015

Now, am I missing couple of months here?? (October 2000 - December 2000). Normally, PCC in Pakistani does not contain any dates and months.

Looking forward for an advise on it??

Jawad

In last 10 years, I lived in two cities, 6 years in one city and 4 years in another city. Do I need two police certificates?

One single PCC is required for one single country. For any country, it is independent of the number of cities in which you resided for that particular country.

Your Pakistan PCC seems absolutely fine. PCC should not be time specific.
It should mention that you have a no adverse report. If the dates are only mentioned for your address, then it's absolutely fine.

Thanks buddy!!! Thats a relief.

Having said that, I have read many posts, especially from our Indian brothers, tha xzcx here applications are refused because they were unable to provide PCC since the age of 18 years. So, if CIC doesn't count the dates mentioned on PCC, why they are refusing such applications?

Regards..

I have exact dates on my PCC since the police stations asked to specify the dates. I hope that will not be an issue. I am scared now!!

I have covered the period since the age of 18 in those PCCs though.

All you can do is that attach a LOE along with this PCC and mention that this PCC takes into consideration the time period since you turned 18.
So CIC will have a clear picture about this PCC.
