Hi Wilson,

I think it will be better for Inhiswill to call them first...because they sometimes insist on having an Appointment. Some visa Counsular office also demand Notarised copy of the Biodata page (Don't ask me why). Inhiswill has to fill up a form too....link is as below;

It takes about 4 weeks to get PCC from India (through Embassy)

Hi,

You don't have to go to Indian embassy for your India PCC. Rather you have to go to VFS Visa and counslar services. Go to the website below:

http://in.vfsglobal.ca/HowToApply.aspx

Call them or visit in person. I obtained PCC from Vancouver centre and it is a very easy process. here is the detail of the process:

1. Download and print application form for PCC from the above website or visit India Visa and Counsular service office located in Toronto.

2. You need two passport size photos on white background.

3. Notarized copies of First and last page of your passport.

4. Notarized copies of your current status in Canada like work permit or study permit.

5. Fee associated with PCC..I don't remember the fees now but u can always ask.

Then you have an option of either collecting your PCC or VFS can courier you the same on additional cost.

This is the whole process in Vancouver. I think the process will be same in Toronto too. Mine took around one week to arrive. But it really depends on your history. The VFS centre told me that PCC would take 4 to 6 weeks...

Hope this helps

Thanks Yaju for correcting my mistake....I know it is not from Embassy as I have had it done myself.

I will correct my post.
