PCC for spouse

My husband is the main applicant for PR and he is currently on his work permit in Canada. My Police clearance certificate is one of the necessary documents form my side as a dependant applicant. In order to get PCC from the passport seva it seems I need to show a sponsorship letter from my husband. I hav a doubt if I can just show the PR invite letter of his and do I really need this sponsorship declaration? And is yes, it can simply be a letter or a notarized one? Pls help with answer.. thanks

Why? I PCC has nothing to do with visa type or application. It's to prove you didn't commit any crimes. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp find your country to see what the procedure is.
