Hi seniors, I obtained my PCC (issue date: June 3) but did not get around to applying. I wanted to check how long a PCC is valid for. My searches have revealed contradictory info, 90 days vs. 6 months. Could anyone please clarify? Thank you

6 months from issue date, unless it's for a country you no longer reside in. (Ex, visited a country for 7 months, left, got PCC, then went back a week-- you would need a new one then).

Agreed; I take it you're speaking about your US (FBI) PCC. If you're currently living in the US, that PCC needs to be less than 6-months old at the time you submit your electronic application for permanent residency, so you should be fine.

If you are required to submit any other PCCs (from other countries that you've been in, cumulatively for 6 months, since you were 18-years-old), they only need to be dated as at the last date you were in that country (so, for example, if you were last in Barbados on September 4, 2015, the PCC needs to have been issued on September 5, 2015)

Good point- given the US flag, I assumed the OP was talking about the FBI PCC.

For the country of residence, is it sufficient to have PCC that is less than six months old or does it have to be dated after your last outbound travel from there?
