Hello,

I just received an ITA yesterday, I haven’t accepted it yet, and collecting all the documents now. One of them is PCC(police clearance certificate).

My residence is currently India and I am moving back to Canada in 11 days. If I start my PCC application process from India and during the process if I move back to Canada, will that be valid or invalid?

Or are there any other validation rules that imply in my situation? Any other details i should know about my situation or PCC do let me know.

Thank you!

It's recommended to wait until you land in Canada to apply for your PCC. If you apply for it while still in India, the certificate will be issued under the Passport Office location in India, which could raise concerns with IRCC. They might see discrepancies since it won’t cover your time of travel, and this could lead to issues with your application. In recent cases, IRCC has been very strict about PCC requirements, and many applicants have faced rejections without the chance to submit it as additional documents. To avoid complications, it's safer to wait until you're in Canada to apply for the PCC.
