Hi all,

Quick question on PCC and trying to understand if I need an LOE.

Here's the situation:

I am a resident of country living and working here for past 7 years. Before that I was studying in another country for 8 years. In between I have had several trips to my country of origin and citizenship but not longer than 3 months. Based on the PCC rules as I understand, I don't need a PCC for my citizenship country.

That being said, as I have my family home in the country of citizenship and I visit for short trips often, based on this address they have issued a PCC that I have been living at this address for last 10 years.

So my question is do I upload this PCC as they have issued it based on my family home in my citizenship country or no need to upload. My thought is that as I have it no harm in uploading as it is from my country of citizenship.

Also, if I do end up loading, do I need an LOE explaining that it is issued based on my residence in my country which I have maintained for past 10 years even though I"m living in another country? The reason I think LOE might be needed as the it says on the PCC that living at address for last 10 years.

I'm sure its not a big issue but I would like to cover all angles and especially with the smart minds in the forum I would like to get some thoughts so there are no issues with my submission.Would really appreciate everyone's thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance.

If you lived for more than 6 months in a row in your country of citizenship after the age of 18, get a PCC for that country as well.

Get PCCs for both the countries where you were educated and where you live currently.

Thanks Asivad.

I have already gotten the PCC but my issue is that they have put on the PCC that I have been living at my family home in citizenship country for the last 10 years when I have been living in a different country and only visited on short trips.

They prepare the PCC based on family address and how long you own/maintain a house. My concern is that will this cause confusion for VO and should I explain in a LOE that it says "living for last 10 years" as I have been a resident in a different country and only had shorttrips. I can put in the LOE with this PCC that the issuing authority issues it based on how long you have maintained a residential address and as my family has been maintaining this house for the past 10 years it says that.

The other approach is to just ignore and maybe I'm overthinking this. And Yes I will have PCC for three countries included.

Try and not confuse things by including 2 PCCs for the same period of time. Include PCC only for the country you actually lived in at any point in time.

Hello buddy,

Can you please provide the breakup of countries (from-to date) where you live and also highlighting which is your home country.

Best,
K
