PCC confusion for Out of status PA

Hi,

I am looking to apply for my PCC. I came here in January 2015 (I was 21). Do I still need PCC from my home country which is India? I’m not so sure as I’m out of status at the moment. To request a PCC from the consulate I would need a valid status which I don’t have. how do I get one if I need it?

I tried to look through the forum and cic website for information but I couldn’t find any.

You have to provide a PCC for any country in which you lived consecutively for 6 months or more, since your 18th birthday. Otherwise your application could be deemed to be incomplete. You could make the request directly to the Indian gov't if approaching the consulate would cause problems.
