I have just been looking into getting our degree certificates certified in advance of an express entry application and I'm a bit surprised at the cost, I'm thinking maybe there's a mistake somewhere as it seems completely out of proportion with what is actually happening.
We both have UK degrees, and the country-specific additional information page at bcit.ca says that we need to submit a transcript as well as the actual certificate. I honestly didn't even know what a transcript was but my wife explained, as she already has one. So I have to go to my old uni and get one. OK so far.
But it seems like we have to pay for certification of the certificate AND the transcript separately. When we try to submit them it charges twice. So 2 x $200 each. For both of us, including courier fees to actually get the results that's nearly $1,000. Just to certify our degree certificates.
Is this correct? Has anyone done this before and can confirm?
Thanks in advance.
