Hi guys,

i need guidance with regards to payment of the right of permanent residence fee.

i have just recieved an email asking me to go for medicals as well as pay for the fee above.

I have been told i need to pay with a bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank.

Not sure how to do this as i am based in the UK.

i called my bank (Natwest) and the person i spoke with said i cant get such a bank draft from Natwest.

Any advise or guidance on how to go about this?

Hi Bildor,

In USA we can get a bank draft in Canadian Dollars. It should be available in UK as well. Just check with some other banks, they may have such facility. But make sure the bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Seems like the person in NatWest is a trainee or talks from his/her rear end.

You can use all the major high street banks in UK, and all those have corresponding banks in Canada.

A simple solution is go to any branch HSBC UK and ask to issue the draft in CAN $ on HSBC Canada.

Hope it helps.

I have done this many times :D

Hi, I think all the major banks in UK have this kind of service. Just try another bank. Wish you all the best!

Yes there is no such issue with UK banks. Have made a draft last week from Barclays.
