Hi there,

I just payed the fees online.
On the document check list, it says:
Print the official receipt,
Fill out payer info by hand,
Attach the bottom portion (copy 2) of this receipt to your application

The receipt of the payment is only one page :(
What does it mean by "attach the bottom portion (copy 2) of this receipt" when there is only 1 page??

Can someone please help me???

Thanks,

Fill details in the lower half of the receipt manually and attach it with the application.

Ottawa10, Just fill in the requied details by hand send the whole receipt. There is no bottom part or anything of that sought. I had the same problem and called CIC and they told me to just attach the receipt which says payment approved.

I had same problem yesterday when I submitted my payment, never received an email with the official recipt however I printed out the transaction record page that came up right after I payed. I phoned CIC and said I could use that instead, as long as my payment went through, and credit card was charged. The agent also suggested that I write an explanation why I don't have the official recipt as I never received it in my email. Hope that helps...

thanks guys...
I did receive the official receipt in the email. But the receipt contains only 1 page.
From what I see in the instruction, it gave me the impression that there are 2 pages.
Anyhow, the receipt I got in the email does have a section to write my name, client ID, etc. So I'll do that and send this long the application.

thanks:D

Hello guys,

I was confused with this too, thanks for the info.

What do we mention in Client id ? 'Blank' or same as 'UCI' mentioned in the form ?

Thanks.

Following is the description you see in the instructions guide for form IMM0008.

"Indicate your Universal Client Identification number (UCI) or Client Identification number (Client ID), if known (8-digit number). Otherwise, leave it blank. If this is your first application with CIC you will not have a UCI or a Client ID."

From this UCI or Client ID are both the same.

Thanks Crama for confirmation, totally agree.

Another query:

On New checklist the fee payment section has 2 checkboxes. a.) Original which corresponds to 1. Payment on the internet and b.) Copy which corresponds to Payment using fee form.

I think that if we are making payment through internet than we should CHECK - 'COPY', as we would submit a Copy2 of this receipt where as we check originals when we post/use IMM5620 fee form.

Don't believe that this would matter but I hope I sound rational.

Thoughts ?

Sorry but I disagree. 'Original' in point 15 refers to the original receipt that you print and submit after paying the fees online. So check 'Original' if paying online. Tested :)

1) Why does it matter what you check, we do not submit a copy of the docs checklist?
2) If it says submit original, submit original.
3) Don't complicate things.
4) If you pay online (which you should) print the receipt and write on it the required info.
5) If you want make more work for all, fill out the payment form and submit that.

This is not a complicated process.

Your Point # 1 is incorrect. From CIC guide below:

Submit the document checklist
Make sure you use and submit the Document Checklist (IMM 5690) along with your application forms and supporting documents.

I would agree to keep things simple and go ahead checking Original as directed by CIC but I still believe my doubt was rational.

I stand corrected. Sorry !
