Payment Declined. I have to wait 2 months again?

Hello.. just a small question.. I sent my application to the CIC in Nova Scotia two months ago and got it returned today because of a problem with a credit card. I just sent everything with a money order... do i have to wait two more months for an answer? (To get my papers processed and charge the money order?) or should I get a faster reply this time?

And one more question, this means that the papers that I sent are all completed and OK? (since they tried to process the credit card transaction?), or they can charge me the fees and return my application in case that something is not completed according to their standards? I just don't know if they first check if the papers are completed and then charge you? or the first step is just to charge the fees and then see if the documents are completed?.

Since CIO tried charging your credit card, it indicates that your application is "COMPLETE". They accept payment if the application is complete.

One more thing, did they assign UCI number in your IMM0008 form? Did you notice that before you re-submitted your application to CIO? If your file has been assigned with UCI number, it will not wait in the que for two more months, otherwise it will stay in the que again and you have to wait for two months again. It's pain but this is the fact my friend. I have undergone this twice...and re-submitted my application third time on Nov 14.

Thanks for your reply Sarayu... I really did't check for any changes in my application since I assumed that they did not process it at all because of the payment declined... I already sent back the application but do you think that they gave me the UCI without the payment being processed? ...

One more question.. "APPLICATION COMPLETE" includes the supporting documents?, I'm worried about it because I know that Canadian officers are very strict and I want to make sure that I met all the requirements under the current standards.

One more thing that I remember, The letter of the payment declined had a bar code with the lether B + 9 Digit numbers. is that the UCI or Client ID by any chance?

Yes, I believe...some times they assign the UCI number without the payment as it has happened to one applicant. You should have noticed it before you re-submitted. Anyway. it's past....don't worry.

Yes, "APPLICATION COMPLETE" means, it has all the necessary documents. If you really have followed the check list carefully, it won't be any issue.

I am not sure about the bar code number you are referring to...but why don't you try to see the status online. If it's the right one, you will then free of tension in your mind...I mean your application will not stay in the que any more.

I believe that's the right number...looks like CIO has already assigned your file number. One thing, you can't login to your ECAS for a couple days as I noticed it from other forum members. Please wait for few days and see.

If it's really your file number, your application will not wait in the que.

Yes, it may be...because CIO did not gave me any kind of number when they returned two times. Anyway, please update if you can login after a few days.

Yes, I had to wait for 2 months every time... ...there was no number assigned for my file.

First time my application was returned because of missing actual birth certificates (Municipality issued birth certificates). The second time, because of wrong mode of payment. I sent a cashier's check in USD currency which was not accepted...unfortunately I was not aware of it before.

By the way, when is your nomination getting expired?

Hope everything works out in this two months for you...anyway, my suggestion for you is, wait until mid January and be ready to request for your nomination extension just in case. Do you have a scanned copy of CIO letter when they returned your application? Coz you need it when you request for extension.
