Paying the fees

Hello, I have a question about paying the fees under the Family Class spousal sponsorship (outland).

Do I need to pay all the processing fees up front or just the sponsorship part of the application?
Also, do I need to pay the dependent child fee even if our child is a Canadian citizen?

So should I be sending $75 (sponsorship) + $475 (Principal applicant) + $150 (dependent child under 19) = $700.

If I am not accepted as a sponsor, are all the processing fees refunded or just the $75?

RPRF can be paid later on demand. Total fee is 1040$ that you need to pay for a spouse sponsorship, I do not think so that you need to pay fee for a Canadian baby. Seniors may guide you better.

Thank you for your reply. May I ask how you came to that total? I only came to the total of $700 (not including the $490 RPRF).

For the whole process it would be $1190 according to the application guide.

Am I missing something?

The total amount for 1 applicant is $1040, as follows:

Sponsor fee: $75
Principle applicant fee: $475
Right of Permanent residency fee: $490
