Hello,

I am moving shortly and am renting a U-Haul to import my "goods to follow". However, I notice it says on CIC that "rented or leased vehicles are not considered owned and are subject to duty/taxes" So am I going to have to pay taxes on bringing in a U-Haul even though I'm only using it for 1 day?

Thanks

Not for your U-Haul. The "rented/leased" thing is if you lease a car for personal use (like people do for their main vehicle). A U-Haul is just a temporary rental from an agency.
