Dear All,

For pay related reference, my former employer has sent me a form to fill where I have to enter details of the third party requesting reference. Does anyone know the address of CIC where the pay-related reference is to be sent?

Thank you

I guess you should put the name of the VO that will be processing your application.
That said, you absolutely need to upload the pay details yourself as part of the application too. Will you be getting a copy yourself that you can upload?

I have the official monthly salary slips that I can show. But when I asked the HR to give me a detailed reference including job duties salary details, they asked me to fill a 'pay reference' form for the salary details so that they send it directly to CIC.
In this case, are the salary slips sufficient? As I don't know who the VO is, I haven't been informed.

If they send anything directly to CIC, it will be ignored. Evidence has to be uploaded as a part of your application. Simply submitting your salary slips will be insufficient evidence towards claiming points for work experience.

Explain to your HR that you have to upload documents online as part of your application so there is really no meaning in their obviously misguided though well-meant suggestion of sending a detailed reference directly to IRCC.

Hmmm, no. As Asivad has already pointed out, you absolutely need the a reference letter from your company to upload. You need to explain the situation to your HR department.
Also, by VO, I meant the visa office processing your application- probably the nearest major Canadian embassy/high commission to you (this is information you can find on the CIC website). You could theoretically put their address down, but it would be pretty pointless. You should just talk to HR :)

I have spoken to the HR right now and they said they can post it to me but wont send electronically. I have sent them the email requesting it now. Since they are in another country so it might take a couple of days.
I do have a reference letter from them but it doesn't contain all the details - just the basic. I also have the offer letter, tax statement, pay slips etc. I was wondering if it is worth waiting for the post.

Does the reference letter mention your job responsibilities which are in sync with main duties of your chosen NOC? If yes, what is it missing?

well I emailed them requesting such a reference but the reference she gave me stated my job position and the dates. As far as the job duties and other details are concerned she mentioned in the reference itself "it is not the company's policy" to provide more information but they can contact them on the HR contact number for further information.
As far as pay related reference goes, including the salary slips that I have I can also attach the email convo of today that I have requested for a pay reference and I can send it in due course as soon as I receive by post.
As far as Job duties matching the NOC code is concerned, the reference letter states the post and the grade I held, I am planning to attach a document containing the job duties of that grade and profile as in my offer letter from the employer's portal. Since it is clearly written in the reference letter that they wont give any specific details and they are contactable for future queries, I dont understand what else I can do

IRCC won't be satisfied with your HR letter stating that "it is not the company's policy" to provide more information. Nor would they spend inordinate time and effort in coordinating with your HR to confirm if your job responsibilities match your chosen NOC or not. If the job responsibilities are not submitted, your application will be refused for not having enough supporting evidence to justify choice of NOC.

The alternative is to get a declaration from a colleague/supervisor and notarizing it before submission. This declaration would be addressed 'to whoever it may concern' and provide all details required by IRCC. As this document is not being provided in anyone's official capacity, it will be on plain paper (NOT on letterhead) hence the need to notarize the same. You will support this notarized declaration with other supporting documents (pay stubs, offer letter, appraisal letter etc) in addition to the aforementioned HR letter along with an LOE wherein you will connect the dots and request the officer to accept your application as complete in all respects regardless of the absence of a valid reference letter from your HR/supervisor.

I have a document containing all the job duties for my job role and grade, and it does match with the NOC code. But it is not a letter specifically addressed to a person, it is basically a job description of my grade. It is an official document though since it is used everywhere in the company - to document the job duties of that job and keep it standardized across all regions.
Is it also worth to include this document, because this is the job description and contains all the duties in the most elaborate manner, the only thing is it is not a "reference letter".

If that document is printed on plain paper (instead of organization stationery/letterhead, that is) and has no further attestation from either your HR/supervisor in their official capacity (to certify and authenticate that this is a genuine document used by the organization), it will have very limited use on its own but no harm in including that document.

It is on letter head since it is official but it has no attestation. Guess i'll try to get more in reference. Thanks for your input.
