PREFERRED OPTION for proof of funds: Evidence of purchase of a special Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating Canadian financial institution, in the amount of $10,000 CAD to cover living expenses for your first year in Canada and evidence of payment for your first year’s tuition (two semesters).

So do all of you pay the "first year's tuition" instead of "first semester's tuition"?

My first year fees would be 30,000 CAD which is just too much to pay right from the beginning.

You don't have to pay the first year's tuition immediately. However if you decide to only pay for one semester, then you must be able to show a bank account balance that contains sufficient funds to cover tuition for the second semester.

And what if I'm going to obtain some funds from a scholarship in my country?

When you apply you will need to include proof that you have obtained this scholarship and the amount of funds being provided.

Ahh okay, but are chances of visa "better" if the entire year fee is paid? Or it makes no big difference?

It is very clearly given "Pre-Payment of First Year Tuition Fees is strongly recommended". So yes, it does make a difference.
How Big - No one can say that. If you have the money and the facilities for paying, then.... It's up to you...

1. It makes a difference only if it's a school policy to pay tuition in advance for the whole semester/year. If there is no such policy (specially University's students), you do not need to worry.

1. It's important to have first year tuition + CAD 10,000, living expenses. If you pay for first term, show proof for second term.

I just confirmed with my consultant that you dont need to show any more funds or bank balance once you paid your tutuion fees and GIC.
