Hi,
My partner and I submitted our common-law sponsorship application on 6th April, but I had a few questions. I think my anxiety is making me overthink things, so I just wanted to clarify a concern regarding her previous receipt of Ontario Works (social assistance).
She received social assistance from November 2024 to January 2025, totaling approximately $2,500. She began working in January 2025 and, since March 2025, has been employed full-time, earning a gross salary of $56,000 per year. We have a letter from her employer and also pay stubs to prove her income. Her 2024 NOA won't reflect that unfortunately but her 2025 NOA which she will file in 2026 will.
Do you think this could pose any issues for our application?
Thank you for your time and guidance.
