Past employer refuse to give details due to company policy

Hi,

With regards to the specific requirements on the reference letters, some of my previous employers cannot provide details(like salaries and duties) as per their company policy. Will that make my application void?

I don't know, we have this on our application for my wife, she was in a senior position for our Government´s homeland security department and details of her work cannot be released. We just included the letter from the Government saying that she did work there between x and x dates but that they cannot say more due to confidentiality. We explained as much as we could in a letter of explanation. I'm not sure whether its ok as we have only just received AOR following our PR submission. We did not claim any points for her work.
