Hello All,

My brother recently submitted his express entry profile with all the supporting documents however regarding proof of funds, he got balance letters from the bank for his savings and fixed deposit accounts which states everything as requested by CIC however the bank official said that they can't issue 6 months average balance.

Has someone been through the same situation? If yes, did CIC ask you for more details about proof of funds?

If your bank doesn't issue a letter with average balance, you can upload last 6 months bank statements instead. Include an LOE specifying that you have added the statements as an alternative.

Many banks don't include average balance it's very common so don't worry about it. The point is for CIC to make sure that you haven't had a large unexplained deposit in your account that could be a loan.

Actually the profile has already been submitted and fees has already been paid and we haven't uploaded the 6 months statements.
I have also gifted some money to him and I have gift deed made as well which we will upload once cic asks. What should we do now at this point of time?

Why are you waiting for CIC to ask? You could and probably should have included them in the first place. I guess you can raise a CSE and send them 6 months statements + the gift deed now and then hope for the best.

I understand. I suppose, if cic have doubts, they will ask us to explain the proof of funds and won't reject the application without asking, right? If they ask it during the processing, how much delay it will cause to the application?

Not sure, could depend on the case analyst. I suggest you be proactive and raise the CSE to put your minds at ease. Last thing you'd want is getting your application canceled for being incomplete.

For ADRs it differs from case to case. Some get their applications delayed by a month, some up to 6 months.

How did you update your finance documents. Did they allow you to update your documents.
I forget to add the official letter with 6 month average balance in the Proof of Funds documents.
