Hi,

I am currently uploading my documents to CIC under "Express Entry CEC". I have received an invitation to apply.
In the "Passports/Travel Documents" section, part of the contents says the following:

"If you have a passport, you must provide a copy of:
  • the page that shows your birth date and country of origin, and
  • any pages with stamps, visas or markings."
I am a citizen of Taiwan (ROC). On each of my passports, there is a stamp saying "尚未履行兵役義務". It means "haven't fulfilled military obligation" in English.

Do I have to scan the page with this stamp on each of the passports that I have had since 18 years old?
Can I not scan this page?

Some information:
  • I believe that I will not be forced to go back to Taiwan to fulfill this obligation when I am in my mid-20s and not physically in Taiwan. Therefore, I believe that it shouldn't be a determining factor of granting a PR status or not.
Thank you,
Howard

You have to scan this page. Not scanning it will amount to misrepresentation. You also need to get this translated by a certified translator.

As said above, you need to scan that page. I'm not sure what you are worried about. IRCC won't care that you didn't fulfill your military obligation.

Hi,

Thanks for the answers guys.
I forgot to ask about another two pages in Traditional Chinese.
They are the "Do's and Don'ts" of the passport holder.
It is the general information for all Taiwanese passport holders.
Do I have to translate these two pages?

Thanks,
Howard

Not if they are pre-printed as part of the standard passport.
