Passports (Canadian and British)

Hi guys

Wonder if somebody can answer a question for me.

My children and I are dual citizens (Canada and UK) my husband is British Citizen. I would like to know if and when entering Canada can my children and I use our Canadian passports from UK and on our return from Canada to the UK can we use our British passports. Will both sides of immigration allow this? The reason I am asking is because I would think this would be the easier way to get in and out without any suspisions or questions from immigration ( I maybe wrong here.)
