PASSPORT & WORK PERMIT EXPIRE AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Hi there!

I'm working in Toronto, my work permit expires on Feb-04 and I just noticed that my Spanish passport expires at the same time. Because of my work status I'm required to apply only 2 weeks before the work permit expires. I don't know if I can apply with my passport expiring so close, or if a should apply to renew my passport and send the confirmation, or if I should apply to renew and try to wait for the new passport.

...any advice?

Your work permit WONT be renewed as your passport won't be valid. You need a valid passport to apply for an extension.

but my passport would be valid at the time I would apply....and I would get the new passport long before they could provide the new work permit.

What can I do then?
