Good Afternoon, this is my second question in this forum, I appreciate everyone's answers on the first question. I have called Vienna, Austria multiple times and they keep hanging up on me. I got married last week in Serbia to my wife, and she currently has a Serbian passport. We decided to go with the inland option and for her to come to Canada and do all the papers from there. We understand it will take longer but at least we will be together. My question to this topic is this, since she has a Serbian passport, and has visited Canada twice, she has a 10 year visa that wont expire until 2023, when she applies for the last name change, will she have to re-apply for her visa? I have searched this forum and I cant find an answer, I have searched government of Canada website, and still nothing. Thank you everyone!

You can do an outland application while residing in Canada, you just have to have valid permission to stay.

When she changes her name, she needs to apply for a new passport. To the best of my knowledge, when she applies for a new passport, any existing visa would need to be updated to reflect that change.

Do you think she will have to re apply for the visa or will they just transfer it with a fee?
