passport validity

hi all,
i want to apply for pr this week. i have a doubt my passport is expiring in 4 months from now. can i apply for immigration with this passport. can anybody give me suggestion. and also is the passport copy as to be notarised before submission???

Yes u can submit the one that is nearing expiry. No need of notarization
