passport validity to enter into canada

Hello,
I need a help we got the visitor visa to visit Canada in February 2017. planning to travel to Canada on july 6th 2017 and return back on july 28th 2017. Our younger daughter passport validity is till 24th October 2017 and she got the Canadian multiple visa till 24th October 2017. Her passport will be not valid for 6 month if we travel in July 2017. Can we travel with her? or if we renew her passport the visa will be in the old passport do we need to transfer the visa to new passport? or we can carry both the passport. Kindly help

assport needs to be valid for 6 months...
in case of renewal, just renew passport and carry both... visa wont be transferred to new passport.

i have 3 passports - i carry all of them (different visas in different passports)

Thank you . Just to inform you we are having Indian Citizen Passport so it is ok to carry both the passport the old one with valid visa and the new renewed one

yes, carry both passports you should be fine.

just ensure you leave hte country before the visas expire however

Thanks a lot because i got little confused someone in our friends circle told that if you are renewing the passport your old passport is not valid and you need to transfer or take new visa in the renewed passport this is the latest rule. I checked in the canadian immigration website there is nothing mentioned like this and also the validity of the passport is also not mentioned.

well i can vouch for it and say thats not the case. my canadian visit visa is on my 2nd passport, and i'm currently using my 3rd passport... i keep both when travelling for obvious reasons visa is always valid till whatever date is mentioned on it.
