passport validity question

I was issued my study permit in February from IRCC Abu Dhabi.

My passport expires in Oct 2023 and my course will be until Jan/May 2024.

Can I get a new passport made right now from my home country and attach it to my old one so I don't have to renew it once I am in Canada?

I had the same exact situation, and I was scared in the beginning so I called Dubai's airport to see if Ill be able to board the flight they said yeah. I called emirates airlines (as i was flying with them) they said its fine, and I remember researching about it and finding an answer on www.canada.ca and it was fine.

I had my passport valid until December 2021 and the canadian visa printed in it, and I was flying from dubai to canada 2 months before its expiry. I renewed a new passport and stapled it along with the near-to-expire passport and I boarded the flight normally and I gave the immigration officer in toronto both of them as it was stapled together and he didnt question anything at all he just looked at the validity of the visa and both passports

so yes you can do just that. congratulations on your study permit, which school are you attending?
