Passport validity <6 months

I got COPR and passport with visa in jun 19 till Jan 20, Howerver my sons passport will expire in jan 20, as I will landing in Oct 19 when my sons passport having validity of only 3 months.
Need clearification on
- should I travel with passport which having less than 6 months validity ?
- if I renew passport than need to stamp on new passport from immigration department?
- If I renew passport and carry both of passport while travelling , is it ok for safe landing ..

I think only passport with validity more of than 6 months allow to travel. you need a new passport and make sure carry old passport with you since the visa still valid. Never left out any important documents.

I carry three passport of mine when travel to State that gave me 10 yrs visa.

Does VISA stamp require on renewed passport , however valid VISA available on OLD passport ?

This is why you bring old passport with you.... Do not changed anything on your old passport.... Bring both old n new passport all time.

Don't think so.. but if you want to make sure, give them a call. I think they have an email for you to contact them on your copr

Final conclusion
-passport will be renew
- carry old and new both passport
- valid visa on old passport
- ok if not Inform to CIC for pp renewal

If you are not sure.. it will better you contact the ircc office to confirm... So far this is my way for my travel... Inform ircc may required.. if they want to match the copr... You need to call them or email them. Renew passport will be a must.
