Passport Submission Request Wrong Submission

Hello

We got my wife's Passport Submission request for her Spousal Sponsorship Application.
She filled out the form for VFS Passport pickup.

When asked the question "Did you Enroll Biometrics for this Application?", she said no.
The reason for this was she did her Biometrics for an earlier TRV application, which was used in her PR application automatically.

The passport pickup was setup and we got an email with the Subject "PR- Reference No. ##### - Child Reference No. #####-1 | VFS Support Query Update | Do not delete | {ticket#xxxxxxx#} :"

We were concerned about the "Child Ticket" reference so we called our agent and he said we should have mentioned "Yes" in the Biometrics section. Technically, she did not "Enroll" her Biometrics for this application.

What does the "Child Reference" mean? Has anyone come across this, and if so what have you had to do?

Reference number is for your VFS ticket. Child Reference number is created when the email is sent that has the tracking number that will show you the progress on your passport movement from Delhi VFS to Delhi IRCC office and back to be tracked on:

Other times it can have the Airwaybill number for BlueDart courier, which you need to have created first before you can mail your passport via BlueDart.

My biometrics were done in 2019 for a visitor visa, and they are valid until 2029 and I was not asked to enroll in them. I got my passport and visa stamped back yesterday just fine, and I always perfectly do all my forms because my husband works with Transport Canada so he knows how to fill these out along with other security clearance in Canada. You have to answer No to your question because otherwise they will be making an appointment to collect your biometrics.
