I applied for the Temporary resident visa online recently and I got my passport request on the 29th January 2014 and I sent my passport via Express Post the same day to the following address:
CPP- Ottawa (e-application)
PO BOX 9640
Ottawa ON K1G 6T2
However, today is the 5th February and it still hasn't been delivered to them according to the online status (Canada Post's tracking system). It's showing "out for delivery" since the 30th January 2014. Has anyone experienced a similar delay when sending their passports to CPP Ottawa?
I called Canada Post and they said that since I sent it to a PO BOX, CPP-Ottawa might not have checked their mailbox. She said that when they check their mailbox, then it will show as delivered on the online system. I really don't understand what CIC has to do with the online tracking system of Canada Post. Also note here that I did not request a signature on the Express Post delivery. This has got me worried. Any suggestions as to what I can do now? I am thinking of sending CPP- Ottawa an email in a couple of days to check if they have received my passport or not...
