Passport scan request only asks me for bio data page

I've read on multiple threads here about people uploading all their passport pages with stamps and marks in addition to the first bio page with their picture and birthday etc. This is what my checklist says:

Document: Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple)

You must provide a clear, legible copy of your valid passport or travel document bio data page.

If using your passport, include a copy of the page that shows your birth date, country of origin, etc.

Your travel document must show proof of status (citizenship or residency), as well as photo identification. Your travel document must be issued by a government and include your name, photo, date of birth, document number, and the issue and expiry dates, if applicable. A travel document is used only by individuals who cannot obtain a passport.


Do this mean I can just upload a scan of the first passport page? Have other people been asked something different?

Upload all the pages of Passport even if they are blank.

Any pages has information and stamp has to upload. Blank pages don't need to upload.

The requirements are clear - upload bio data page. Others are responding to PNP requirements as well so there could be some differences depending on what provinces want. For instance, Ontario wanted a copy of all blank pages as well. But CIC specifically asks for the bio data page only.

I agree with Asivad..for passport, only bio data page is needed for express entry application.. i wish not to raise issues with no enough information coz those rumors will only stress people out and thy have enough already.. we r able to read and write and see what they ask for in the checklist provided

I was very confused on this as well... finally I decided to only upload biodata and my residence permit for the country in which I am living (to prove legal status here).. my passport also has a relationship page at the end so I added it..but my spouse doesn't, so only 2 pages for him....if we go to send all the stamps, it will be a very long and tedious process... esp if need to translate them all since most GCC country stamps are in arabic...

Are you from a visa waiver country? Then they only want the bio data page.

I'm not from a visa waiver country, but they have only requested the biodata page...pretty much exactly what is written in teh above post.... From other threads, I understand they changed the requirement recently?

I received an ITA and now on documents submission step and I have couple of questions.

1. Do I just need to submit first and last page of the passport or do I need to submit all the pages?
2. I also have my expired passport and renewed passport, so do I need to submit copies of both passport?
(first and last page of both passports or all the pages of both passport)

Any help would be great, kindly advise

When you get to it, click on the "i" symbol. It will tell you exactly what you need, so read it carefully.

But It just says that biological page of passport.
My question is, do I also need to submit biological page of my expired passport of just valid passport is good.

Note: I have my Canadian student visa on my expired passport and I renewed my passport in Jan 2016
