Passport Request

Hi all,
I was recently requested to send my passport to finalize my decision for a study permit. I applied online. In the letter, it is said that "A decision was made on your application." But does not mention if it was approved or rejected. However, in the IRCC portal, under the Final Decision section, it is mentioned "Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application."

So, I am assuming my application was approved for VISA?

Asking for passport means approval, why would they need passport otherwise?

The status saying "approved" means approved. And yet people doubt the word.
