Passport request sent to wrong email Address

Hi,
My AOR is on 12th April 2017, I didn't get PP request yet.
When I contacted IRCC, they said they sent the approval on June 29th itself to wrong email address. But in my application my email address is correct, I don't know how come they got the wrong email. IRCC asked me to send a request to update correct email. Since they approved 4 months before, do they still resend my visa approval?? need some experts advice. I didn't do anything wrong from my side.

Which program are you in and are you inland or Outland? Maybe they will be lenient with your case because it wasn't a mistake on your part. How did you contact IRCC?
