Ok guys, so me and my wife are working in Manitoba under the PNP scheme ( i was a student who got married and sponsored wife here and both were on work permits under PNP stream )
We applied for PR once eligible and before the PR request for passport came through we are blessed with a baby boy who was born in Canada.
Now the generic email from CIC says this:\
STEP 1: UPDATE YOUR APPLICATION WITH ANY CHANGES, IF APPLICABLE
You must inform our office immediately if any of the following conditions apply.
· Marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation;
· Death of the sponsor, the principal applicant or any accompanying family member;
· Birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children;
· You, the principal applicant, or any of your family members have been charged or convicted of a criminal offence.
If available, please send any evidence that supports the change by email to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca.

When my wife was pregnant, CIC was informed via the pregnancy defferal letter when her medicals were being done as she could not give the X-RAY right away. now im curious as if this requirement is only for people applying OUTSIDE canada as the child would not be a canadian resident and the file would be required to have a new member on it. A canadian child being born in Canada should not have any implication on my request for PR within canada but i could be mistaken ??
please advise what am i doing here. Issue is if i tell CIC that i have a new family member, its going to take about 2 months for the birth certificate in canada to come through and i have no proof just yet, and CIC needs my passport within 30 days
Like always, thanks a ton.
