Passport Request from Immigration Office New York

Hi All,

I have applied under CEC and my case is being handled by Immigration Office New York. I have recieved an email from them asking for the passports but I can not send them the passports as I am in Pakistan and the moverment of passport acros border is restricted in Pakistan. I am not sure what should I do. Has any one gone throught the same in recent times. I know many people in Pakistan have the same issue with CHC london but now CHC london is not asking for passport from Pakistan national as thay have delegating the visa stamping job to CHC Islamabad. I am not sure New York office is aware of this.

If any one has been in the same scenario before please advise me the steps to get the visa stamped.

I think you should go to the Canadian Consulate in Pakistan and see what they say. They may be able to work something out with the VO in New York.

1. You are going to have to find a way to get your passport to New York and back as New York will NOT mail or courier it out of their processing area.
2. As skilled workers from Pakistan are processed in London, that is why the passports are "stamped" in Isbad. It is not the same for New York.
