Passport Request from Canadian Embassy

Hi, I received a letter requesting me to submit my passport to Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi. I just wanted to know what is the best way to submit my passport in Abu Dhabi Canadian embassy? personal or thru courier?

After I submitted my passport to Canadian embassy, what would be the next step? How long would it take for the Canadian embassy
to return my passport? Will they return my passport with visa already?

Appreciate any advise...ideas...

Always best thing is to submit and collect passport in person if the office is easily reachable by you and it is allowed, otherwise by mail. Yes, the VISA will be stamped on your passport when you recieve it.
For Passport return time check on CIC website based on country applied.
